The krubera cave(discovered in 1860)(also known as the voronja cave),the deepest cave on Earth at almost 7,200 feet is located in the gagrinsky range, gagra district near the western border.
The gagrinsky range and nearby areas have a lot of caves deeper than 1,000 feet.
